Sean Nos Dance Masterclasses with Sibéal Davitt


One of the top exponents of Sean Nos Dance from Ireland, Sibéal Davitt, visits NYC this coming week and she is teaching some masterclasses, and performing at some sessions! Don’t miss it!

  • Mon. June 29, 8.15pm-10pm: Sean Nos Masterclass at New York Irish Center, Long Island City, Queens.
    Weds. July 1, 8.15pm-10pm: Sean Nos Masterclass at Players’ Theater, Greenwich Village
    Cost: $25 per class, cash only.
    Both classes: $45 total, payable at your first class!

    Sibéal also hopes to catch some other sessions around town!


  • Sibéal Davitt is one of Ireland’s leading professional sean-nós dancers. Having won TG4’s talent show ‘Glas Vegas’ in 2009, she went on to perform in Las Vegas and other noted venues and festivals around the world. She learned classical ballet, jazz and contemporary from the age of 5 and is currently developing her choreographic practice in the range of Irish traditional and contemporary dance.  Sibéal recently completed an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance at University of Limerick where she worked with acclaimed choreographers such as John Scott, Iseli Chiodi Dance Company, Emily Johnson and Hélène Cathala.
