A Chairde:

Welcome back everyone! Hope you had a great summer; it sure was a hot one.

Congratulations to all the winners who competed at the Fleadh in Cavan, and, to their Teachers. It is great to see the young musicians coming-up and enjoying the music.

The Irish Arts Week, under the direction of Paul Keating, was a week not to have missed. The Music, Concerts, and Ceilis were super! A job well done Paul.

Our first Ceili will be on September 16th. We will start with a Mass at 2:30 pm for Mike and Joe R.I.P.. It will be Mike’s 1 year Anniversary. The Mass will be followed by the Ceili at 4:pm. The Music for the Ceili will be Eileen Goodman, John and Gerry Kennedy, Dan Gibney, and special guest Willie Kelly. All musicians are welcome to join in the celebration of Mike’s and Joe’s Music.

Welcome back Terry. We hope you enjoyed your well-deserved vacation visiting Mary, Donal, and Grandchildren in Ireland.

Get well wishes to Mary Moriarty. We miss you.

We lost another of our Set Dancers. Bruce Olens, R.I.P.. Condolences to his daughter Tara and Family; his brother Sam and Family; and, to his dear friend Marianne. Bruce was a great friend and supported everyone. He always had a smile and a kind word for you. Bruce attended our class in West Orange every Tuesday. He loved to learn ‘steps’ and was very enthusiastic about his dancing; a real pleasure to have in class. He will be truly missed.

Condolences to Kathleen and Don Koonjy on the death of their daughter Diane in San Diego Ca., R.I.P., and, also to Lana Jackson on the death of her boyfriend Bob, R.I.P..

See you Sunday September 16th, for a “cup-of- tea and a few laughs”.
