RIP Tom Moore

Here are the arrangements for Mr. Tom Moore father of Dermot Moore our AOH President who is so supportive of our children in the Irish Music School and husband to Mary Holt Moore very well known Irish Historian/speaker/dance teacher of the Gaelic League and also our CCE Martin Mulvihill Branch Irish Officer

Thomas A. Moore, of Pearl River, NY, age 87, beloved husband of Mary Holt Moore, father of Tommy, Kevin (Kerri), Maureen (Roger) Slattery, Cathleen (Kevin) McNulty, Dermot (Joan), Patrick, Kerry Scriven, and Eileen (Bobby) Fitzgerald, adored grandfather of 21, and friend to many, died on May 11 surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Ballylongford, County Kerry, Tom became a long time Bronx resident, graduated Regis H.S. class of ’42 and served in the US Army during WWII. Tom retired from the FDNY as Deputy Chief, Division 5 in 1979, and was a charter member of the FDNY Emerald Society, Holy Name Society & the Bronx Gaelic League, and a Past President of AOH Bronx County Division 3 .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Margaret’s R.C. Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne, NY. Visiting is Monday from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Pearl River, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Camp Venture 25 Smith St., Suite 510 Nanuet, NY 10954
