The Institute of Musical Traditions has a few shows coming up that CCE folks might enjoy. Information and tickets for the shows available on the IMT website at http://www.imtfolk.org.

Monday, Feb. 6, we have Archie Fisher, Scottish folksinger and host of the BBC radio program “Travelling Folk.” In Rockville

Monday, Feb. 13, fiddler Kevin Burke. In Rockville.

Wednesday, Feb. 22, fiddler Hanneke Cassel, with cellist Ari Friedman and guitarist Keith Murphy. In Takoma Park.

Wednesday, Feb. 29, Scott Alarik, folk music writer for the Boston Globe and supporter of traditional music, giving a combined book reading and musical performance. Scott has new novel out, Revival, that’s set in the folk music community of Boston.

Wednesday, March 14, Irish band Teada. In Takoma Park.

Monday, March 19, Celtic guitarist Robin Bullock. In Rockville. Robin will also be giving a workshop on Celtic Fingerstyle Guitar on Sunday.

Saturday, March 24, fiddlers Bruce Molsky & Ale Möller. In Takoma Park.

Sunday, March 25, harpist Maeve Gilchrist with bassist Aidan O’ Donnell and fiddler Duncan Wickel, in the first show of IMT’s new Harp Concert series. In Takoma Park.

Weddesday, March 28, Boston band Long Time Courting, with Sarah Blair on fiddle/vocals, Liz Simmons on guitar/vocals, Shannon Heaton on flute/vocals, and Ariel Friedman on cello/vocals. In Takoma Park.

And coming on Saturday, April 21, harpist Lily Neill in the second show of IMT’s new Harp Concert series. In Takoma Park.
