Irish Mandolin Workshop with Orrin Star

Takoma Park, MD ~ Noon-2:15pm

Traditional Irish instrumental music is a wonderfully rich style with a unique language of embellishments and accents. Using a lovely three-part jig (The Cat’s Meow) as our vehicle, we will explore how this language applies to the mandolin, and how to make your Irish playing sound authentic and interesting.

Note: Octave mandolin and tenor banjo players who play in GDAE tuning are also welcome.
