Changes to Teada Workshop

Sean McElwain is now doing guitar instead of banjo and Grainne Hambly is teaching concertina instead of harp.  Otherwise, the details are the same.

Music & Dance Workshops with Teada’s Irish Christmas in America – Dec. 13th

The musicians and dancer from Teada’s Irish Christmas in America show (www.irishchristmasinamerica.com/) will be giving music and dance workshops on Monday, December 13th from 6:30-8:30pm.  This is a great opportunity to take a workshop from a group of stellar traditional musicians and a top Sean-nos dancer.  The workshops will be at Gonzaga High School (19 I St NW, Washington, DC 20001), near Union Station.

The group is offering the following instrument and dance workshops:
Fiddle – Oisin MacDiarmada
Guitar – Sean McElwain

Accordion – Seamus Begley
Concertina – Grainne Hambly
Uilleann Pipes – Tommy Martin
Sean Nos Dance – Brian Cunningham

Each workshop is limited to ten people in order to provide an intimate learning environment.  The cost is $30 per person and is payable the evening of the workshop.

If you are interested in registering for a workshop, please contact Brendan Bell (bell.brendan@gmail.com or 202-669-5977).
