Albert Alfonso without a doubt makes some of the finest bodhrans ever produced. His unique playing style is praised by the likes of Tommy Hayes, Seamus Egan and others. He has taught all over the US and Europe. For his 3rd Annual Cheshire Place Concert he is joined by Skip Healy on flute.

For over thirty years, Skip Healy has been a renowned, Grammy-nominated performer of Irish flute and American fife music. He is widely regarded as one of the finest American fife and Traditional Irish wooden flute players, makers and educators that the country has ever produced. His playing style, heralded “at once traditional and contemporary”, breathes new life into his enormous repertoire of tunes.

Directions to Cheshire Place:

From Frederick

Route 15 north to Route 26 East. Follow Route 26 about 15 miles through Mount Pleasant and Libertytown. Cheshire Place is 4 miles east of Libertytown on the right. Pass Unionville Road on your right the next road you cross will be Clemsonville Road.

Turn right into the first driveway immediately after you cross Clemsonville Road, between the white and green mailboxes. Go straight down the drive way to the log house.

From US 70

Take the Mount Airy exit going north on Route 27 towards Taylorsville about 8 miles. At Taylorsville turn left on Route 26(Liberty Rd.) go 4 .5 miles. Pass Unionville Road on the left, cross Albaugh Rd. Pass Lowe Winery on the left you will soon see a yellow intersection warning sign on your right. The driveway is on your immediate left between the green and the white mailboxes. Go straight down the drive way to the log house. Note: If you cross Clemsonville Road you just missed the drive.
