CCE Musical Arts and Dance (MAD) Week

CCE Musical Arts and Dance (MAD) Week is off to a great start. The first public event will be a faculty concert Wednesday evening, July 8th, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at McGinty’s Public House in Silver Spring. The concert will feature CCE MAD Week faculty, including: fiddlers Brendan Mulvihill, Tony DeMarco, Donna Long, and Robert Spates; flutist Laura Byrne Egan; guitarist Josh Dukes; and Myron Bretholz on bodhran. Shannon Dunne will also share some steps as part of the program. The second public event is a concluding ceili and concert which will take place Friday evening, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Waldorf School auditorium. In between dance sets, CCE MAD Week classes will perform tunes and steps they learned throughout the week. The event is open to the community at the family-friendly rate of $10 adult; $5 children (18 or under) or $25 per family. http://www.washingtonwaldorf.org.
