The Rafferty – Madden branch’s next ceili will take place on Sunday, November 20, at the VFW Hall at 239 Leonia Ave in Bogota NJ. There will be no lesson, ceili from 4:00-8:00pm. The music will be by Eileen Goodman, John & Gerry Kennedy, Dan Gibney, and special guest Dylan Foley.

Last night, Irish music legend Mick Rafferty passed away. A towering figure in the music, he blessed us with his playing and was an inspiration to so many. His passing leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. The Region’s thoughts and prayers go out to the Rafferty family.

The End of Rafferty Branch!
This just in from Tom Madden:
On Sunday, May 15 the Michael Rafferty Branch of Comhaltas will hold their final, last-ever, that’s all she wrote, going-out-of-business ceili. The ceili will take place at the VFW Hall, 239 Leonia Ave., Bogata, N.J. beginning at 3pm. At the May 15 ceili, the Michael Rafferty branch will cease to exist, and will be reborn as the Mike Rafferty – Joe Madden Branch of Comhaltas, to celebrate the great friendship between these two wonderful musicians. Come join the Rafferty and Madden families, and all our branch members, as we kick off the new branch with a party to remember!
