Call for volunteers for the CCE Irish Folk Festival

This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE) O’Neill-Malcom Branch sponsored Irish Folk Festival.  The Festival will take place in Fairfax City VA on September 24, 2011 from noon to 6 pm.

This is an invitation for you to join us as volunteer at the Irish Folk Festival.  This year the festival will be held at the beautiful   Sherwood Community Center at Van Dyck Park AND at The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub in downtown Fairfax City.  Our festival cannot be conducted without an adequate supply of volunteers who can assure that all the events run smoothly.

Branch member Lauraileen O’Connor is the Volunteer Coordinator.  She is compiling a list of volunteers and coordinating their efforts. Please contact Lauraileen at:

Lauraileen O’Connor
Home: 301.963.6805

Mobile: 240.401.3679
E-Mail: ccepotomac@gmail.com

Please let us know in what capacity you would be available to help!  We especially need people to help with set up and take down of the venues.  You may sign up for multiple categories, especially for set up & take down.  Let Lauraileen know the Task/time slot between noon and 6 pm for which you would like to volunteer, your email address, name, Cell Phone Number, any other pertinent information you need her to know.

We realize that some folks who would like to volunteer may hesitate to do so at this time because their availability on September 24 cannot now be assured.  Those folks are advised that the volunteer listing now to be compiled is considered to be tentative only and that a person who volunteers at this time will be able to withdraw later if it turns out that timely availability is just not there.

FREE MORNING COFFEE & DONUTS!!!  AND, FREE LUNCH!!!

EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY.

ONE NEED NOT BE A MEMBER OF CCE OR OF THE O’NEILL-MALCOM BRANCH IN ORDER TO BE A VOLUNTEER.

Recipients of this message are requested to pass this information on to folks who might be interested in volunteering but who do not receive our listserve e-mail communications.

Thank you and we appreciate all the support you have given to CCE over the years!

Sincerely,

Lauraileen O’Connor
