We’re playing a house concert as part of Monopoly House Concerts’ “Dessert and Song” series. This will be a small-scale performance, and just as the concert series’ title suggests, it will start with a social gathering for dessert, followed by an intimate performance by Lilt. Irish Cultural Heritage Night at Ossian Hall Park

We’ll be performing as “Lilt Deluxe” – our usual duo will be augmented with our friends Mitch Fanning and Jesse Winch. Mitch is a great fiddler, and is accomplishing great things in Irish music education. He is the founder and director of the Bog Band — the wonderful young persons’ ensemble — which has been setting a high standard for excellence for a number of years. Jesse plays the bodhran, guitar, and all manner of miscellaneous instruments. He is a near-legendary figure in Irish music in America, knowing and playing with nearly everybody. He was recently inducted into the CCE Irish Music Hall of Fame for the US Mid-Atlantic Region. “Lilt Deluxe” will be accompanied by some great Irish dancers, and the performance will be followed by a movie. This will be a great event for the family!

The annual series of Swift Run concerts is one of the premier showcases for Irish music in the Washington area. Weather permitting, we’ll be performing on Swift Run Lodge’s spectacular 3-tier amphitheater deck against a wooded backdrop (or inside if weather necessitates). This will be a good one! Reservations are required.
